What is Trygg?

The privacy first safe PDF encryption merger and splitter.

Trygg lets you combine text, images and PDF files to create password AES-256 encrypted ZIP archive or AES128 encrypted PDF-file and easily share them however you want. Trygg will also let you split existing PDF files into single pages and export to PDFs or PNGs.

How is my data encrypted?

Password protected documents are encrypted with 256-bit AES encryption for ZIP files, and 128-bit AES encryption for PDF files. Its possible to use a key-length up to 32 characters.

Encryption is performed by Apple's PDFKit Framework

  • Q: Does Trygg collect data about me?

    A: No. Trygg doesn't contain any form of tracking or analytics, and collect zero information about you or the usage of Trygg.

  • Q: What can I legally share with Trygg?

    A: Everything, as long as it is a PDF, an Image Or something you can type into the Editor. Just make sure you password encrypt the PDF with a long password. Trygg will provide a password strength indicator that tell you how strong your password is. - A Protip is to use a long password with UPPERCASE and lowercase letters, numbers and symbols.

  • Q: What does Trygg means?

    A: Trygg is a Norwegian word for safe, because your PDFs will be safe when you use Trygg

  • Q: Can I import password encrypted PDFs into Trygg?

    A: Yes, you can import password encrypted PDFs and split them into unencrypted PDFs, one for each page.

  • Q: Can I send Photos with Trygg?

    A: Yes, you can easily add your secret photos, encrypt them as a PDF and share them securely. Only recipients who know the password can open the PDFs from Trygg
